Watermelon Margherita

1 cup of watermelon cubes, seedless

1 oz lime juice, fresh

1/2 cup of cranberry juice

2 oz of your favorite silver tequila

1 lime wedge

1 tsp kosher salt and 1 tsp sugar, mixed

Preparations:

  1. Freeze seedless watermelon in a single layer for 2 hours (can be prepared ahead of time)
  2. Place frozen watermelon, lime juice, cranberry juice, and tequila in a blender. Blend until smooth. 
  3. Take the lime wedge and run it across the lip of the cocktail glass. Dip the rim of the glass in the salt and sugar mixture.
  4. Pour the blended watermelon margherita in the sugar and salt rimmed glass. Garnish with the lime wedge.
